Child Life Network was founded in 2006 by then new-Canadian Allan SSemungenyi to help children in his native Uganda receive counselling, improved education and overall better outcomes. The organization was established the same year as a Canadian registered charity and has been operating from London, Ontario since inception.

For the past 10 years CNI has been helping close to 1,000 children monthly at its HOPE CENTRE near Kampala, Uganda who attend weekly training under the direction of one full time teacher.  Demand for services has continued to grow on an annual basis.

A NEW PATH FORWARD

For the past 10 years, Child Life Network has helped literally thousands of children in Uganda find a better way of life.

As a result of continuing good results in Uganda, the board of CNI has embarked on an ambitious plan to further grow the organization by means of establishing a ‘permanent home’ for CNI in Uganda.

MATCHING GIFT CHALLENGE

As a first phase of this plan, we are seeking a handful of major donors who will participate in helping us launch a matching gift campaign.  Our goal is to secure $150,000 in lead-gift pledges to be leveraged dollar-for-dollar through our annual gala and public fundraising for a total campaign of $300,000.

USE OF FUNDS & MILESTONES

Purchase of Real Estate

($80,000+)

1.       To purchase 50 acres of real estate in Uganda for construction of a permanent home for the CNI school. 2017
Construct new Hope Centre ($200,000) 2.       To construct a new school (3 Phases) to triple current capacity and expansion of current programs. 2017-2019
Publish and distribute
new curriculum
($20,000)
3.       To print, train and distribute new curriculum to villages throughout Uganda. 2017-2018

The potential impact cannot be overstated. Our model of better education, mentorship and life-skills training will continue to see more children and teenagers find a brigther tomorrow for decades to come. Thank you for your consideration of this proposal, for there is truly no limit to what we can achieve together, collaborating each of us in our own way.
